This sculpture follows the flow of energy through time. The sculpture represents energy as it changes form through metamorphic processes from ancient fossil life into oil and gas that is then converted into energy to fuel the information age. The first section has fused and etched glass fossils on a rusted metal framework. The second section has fused glass limestone formations that include etched remains of fossil forms. The third section has circuit board patterns fused and etched into glass. The metal framework is refined and finished in this section. The concept and its details were developed in collaboration with the specifying architects.
